Seeing you on TV, it seems being funny comes so naturally to you. When did you discover that you have the knack for making people laugh?
Actually ginagawa ko lang kung ano’ng required of me sa roles na ibinibigay sa akin. As for personality, masayahin lang talaga ako. Pero serious naman ako kung kailangang maging seryoso.

Do you feel, though, that you’re being stereotyped into a particular role?
I guess directors see me as an effective comedienne. But I do try to study serious acting, pero siyempre, kahit gusto kong mag-try sumabak sa serious acting, ang tanong, yun din ba ang gusto ng tao?

Hey, we’ll take anything!
Siyempre di naman puwedeng yung gusto ko lang ang masusunod. Of course in acting, I have to believe in myself first before they believe in me. And to try something new would take a lot of preparation. After winning the award [last year’s PMPC Star Awards Best Comedy Actress], mas naisip kong mag-try naman ng something serious, yung kakaiba. I believe na artist naman ako at kakayanin ko kung ano’ng ipasubok sa akin.

To be fair, it’s harder to make people laugh than cry.
Mahirap nga rin, pero siguro it helps na masayahin lang talaga akong tao—yun at nagkataon na ang mga taong katrabaho ko ang mga magagaling na director at komedyante.

We all know you’re blessed with deadly curves. Do you think it helps contribute to your appeal?
I would say nakatutulong yun, it makes me feel good about myself. Of course may times na nahihiya naman akong ang lusog-lusog ko naman! Pero dahil ayokong bigyan ng malisya yung dibdib ko, nag-comedy na rin ako. Gusto ko naman may ibang sustansya akong mai-offer like laughter, di ba? Ha ha! Laughter is the best medicine!

The last time you posed for FHM was in 2003, yet you still look as fresh as when you last graced our cover. How do you maintain your looks?
Wow, thanks! Disiplina lang talaga yung kailangan. I sleep a lot when I have time, I pamper my skin, I eat a balanced diet. And when you say diet, it has to be with discipline talaga, hindi lang yung crash diet or magda-diet pills. Kasi pag nag-take ka ng mga quick fix tulad nun, after nun kakain ka pa rin. Kaya rin ako  parating nagsusuot ng sexy outfits, para nararamdaman ko agad pag nage-gain na ako ng weight.
